Replacement windows ?
I live in Upstate NY , and i am looking for cheap replacement windows . And suggestions? to be more specific , i need to replace a couple kitchen windows . And i don't want to spend a lot of money .

- Your not saying for what........you could build some yourself.......or buy some at Lowe's. We also have a place here where builders get rid of their extra stuff.........it's called habitat for humanity.......and they have just about anything you can dream of...........good luck.
- i'm replacing the windows in my house right now. any price that's close to $1.00 per linear inch is a fair price for vinyl replacement windows. i ordered from home depot, the windows are made by american craftsman ( a division of anderson windows ) i'm not happy with them and i won't recommend you get them. two torn screens, three sized wrong, (i double checked my measurements) and one without the tension strap installed, the damn thing won't stay open. i've put in pella, jeld-wen, and certainteed brand windows and never had any of these problems. the jeld-wen were the cheapest i ever bought, about $0.80 a linear foot. they didn't have low e glass but for the money they were worth it. i was selling the house anyway.
i bought the jeld-wen at menard's, the pella at lowe's, and the certainteed were ordered through a contractor friend. they don't sell on the retail market.
